Meeting business objectives through climate action

We understand each clients’ unique sustainability goals and deliver high-quality, high-impact solutions to meet them. We take a tailored approach and our expert team will work with you to meet carbon neutrality and net zero goals through climate finance and project development.

"We searched far and wide to find the right offset scheme, one which we felt confident could deliver to the standard we required but which also went further, offsetting our industry’s carbon impact and at the same time, delivering on the UN’s global goals for maximum impact."

Our approach

It starts with our clients—visionary companies making an immediate impact today. As a leading provider of climate finance, carbon neutrality and net zero solutions, we develop strategies and programmes that meet business objectives and create value. For more than 20 years, we have worked with our corporate clients and global network of project partners to make real change possible—for the climate, for communities and for a thriving planet.

Our approach

Microsoft to be carbon negative by 2030

Since 2012, when it first announced it would be carbon neutral, we have been Microsoft’s offset partner—and supplied a portion of its renewable energy certificates too.

Over that time, we’ve delivered a portfolio of more than 50 carbon offset projects in 30 countries designed to align with Microsoft’s business priorities, plus Energy Attribute Certificates from 16 countries. We’ve developed reforestation projects in Ireland and the Netherlands where Microsoft has large data centre operations, and developed a forest carbon programme to conserve high-value forests near Microsoft’s Redmond, WA headquarters. We have worked with Microsoft as it extended its focus into removals, supplying projects to meet that goal.

But our partnership approach means we go beyond the supply of a portfolio of projects of the highest quality. Through strategic reviews, updates on market and policy developments, providing PR opportunities, supporting Microsoft’s country teams on local engagement and creating content for blogs and news stories, we ensure Microsoft’s climate leadership has continually evolved, gaining it recognition from the UN as Momentum for Change award winner.

Sky commitment to net zero

In 2006, Sky became the world’s first CarbonNeutral® media company, and has continued this commitment ever since. In 2020 the company announced that all its Sky Originals productions from 2019 onwards would be certified CarbonNeutral in accordance with The CarbonNeutral Protocol.

The company has committed to be net zero by 2030 - cutting emissions from the business, suppliers and use of its products by at least 50%, and planting trees, mangrove and seagrass to absorb unabated emissions.

Sky also uses its voice through its programming and digital content to inspire people to join the #GoZero campaign and is the Principal Partner and Media Partners for the UN Climate Change Conference (COP 26) taking place in Glasgow, UK, at the end of 2021.

Logitech delivers CarbonNeutral products

In 2018, Logitech embarked on its carbon neutral journey and it has quickly accelerated its efforts as part of a wider Energy & Climate Action Programme that focuses on immediate action and longer-term product development. The company started its carbon neutrality with a manufacturing facility in China, expanded its programme to include business travel and, in 2019, became one of the first companies in the gaming industry to make an entire portfolio of gaming products carbon neutral.

Logitech maintains CarbonNeutral® product, business travel, and building status through a combination of carbon offsets and renewable electricity certificates. The company has also committed to Science-Based Targets that align with the Paris Agreement and it is embedding sustainable design into its product development.

Logitech’s carbon neutral climate action is a key pillar of communicating its sustainability commitments to its consumers and stakeholders.

VMware is a Force for Good

Through its software products, VMware is helping its customers reduce power use and become more energy efficient. Through its ‘Force for Good’ programme, VMware is committed to climate action across its own operations through carbon neutrality and 100% renewable energy.

Over the last four years we’ve partnered with VMware as it delivers on its climate commitments: developing a global renewable energy programme and meeting its carbon neutral target two years ahead of schedule.

With a business focus on sustainable infrastructure, VMware is supporting our project in Guatemala where the basic infrastructure for clean water access is not available so ceramic filters provide rural households with an alternative and affordable solution.
