Dr Cameron Hepburn is a Professor of Environmental Economics at LSE and Oxford University, where he holds Fellowships. He was educated at Melbourne University in Law and Chemical Engineering, earning his doctorate in economics from Oxford (as a Rhodes Scholar). Cameron is actively involved in public policy as a member of the DECC Secretary of State's Economics Advisory Group, the DEFRA Academic Panel, and as a founder of Vivid Economics. He contributed two background research papers to the Stern Review on the Economics of Climate Change. His 2011 publication “The Economics and Politics of Climate Change" was published by Earthscan in London, and his papers have appeared in publications such as Oxford Review of Economic Policy, Environmental and Resource Economics, and Energy Policy. Cameron is also a director of Climate Bridge, a company devoted to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in China.
