Join Sheri Hickok, CEO of Climate Impact Partners, in the Estonian Pavilion for a panel session on the untapped potential of a $100 billion annual investment opportunity in Africa's battle against climate change.

Africa faces a critical challenge, with two-thirds of its fertile land degraded and 27 climate-vulnerable countries on the continent. Urgent climate action is needed. Surprisingly, only 17% of nature-based solutions finance comes from the private sector. Impact-driven investors have a lucrative opportunity in this underexplored frontier. Explore innovative investment instruments delivering both impact and compelling risk-reward ratios in the nature-based solutions landscape.

Panelists include:

  • Kristjan Raude, co-founder and CEO of 1MTN
  • Nassima Sadar-Gravier, Obama Leader and CEO of Afroclimate, Partner at Living Labs Federation

The CEOs of Climate Impact Partners and BeZero Carbon host roundtable discussion with corporates

  • Date: December 5, 2023
  • This is a private event

The CEOs of Climate Impact Partners and BeZero Carbon will host a roundtable event with corporates to discuss whether the voluntary carbon market has what it takes to re-shape the market and deliver the mature infrastructure required to drive the scale and impact that many in the VCM believe is possible.

This year has undoubtedly been challenging for the voluntary carbon market. But we’ve also seen new and exciting organizations joining the ecosystem, the launch of new initiatives to set standards, the development of new technology to improve assessment tools, and peers collaborating to change the narrative and showcase the VCM as a mechanism for change.
