The CarbonNeutral Company demonstrates its commitment to encourage large corporations to measure and report carbon management strategies

London, 2nd December 2010: The CarbonNeutral Company, a world leading provider of carbon reduction solutions, has been selected and approved by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) as a Consultancy Partner in the UK. The CarbonNeutral Company has successfully demonstrated an impressive track record of helping corporations measure, manage and reduce their carbon emissions, thereby supporting the CDP’s mission to accelerate solutions to climate change.

Currently 3,000 organisations in 60 countries measure and disclose their Greenhouse Gas emissions and climate change strategies through the CDP. Many of those companies are clients of The CarbonNeutral Company who measure their emissions and use carbon offsets to immediately and effectively make reductions. The CDP data is made available for use by a wide audience including institutional investors, corporations, policymakers and their advisors, public sector organisations, government bodies, academics and the public to enable business, policy and investment decisions.

Jonathan Shopley, Managing Director, The CarbonNeutral Company explained, “By becoming a Consultancy Partner of the CDP we are aligning our success helping hundreds of companies to measure and reduce their carbon emissions with the CDP’s impressive track record of encouraging corporate disclosure of greenhouse gas emissions and climate change strategies. Together we will be even more effective at helping businesses take the lead in meeting essential carbon reduction targets.”

Joanna Lee, Chief Partnerships Officer, The Carbon Disclosure Project said, “We invited The CarbonNeutral Company to apply as a Consultancy Partner of the CDP due to its expertise and strong record of working with a global client base of companies voluntarily reducing carbon emissions since it began in 1997. The CarbonNeutral Company supports the mission of the CDP to put climate change information at the heart of business, policy and investment decisions.”
