Creating new projects to deliver climate action

We work with clients and partners to continually drive the low carbon transformation through new projects which reduce and remove emissions, support communities and restore a thriving planet.

There is no way that we would be able to scale and reach these hundreds of thousands of families without carbon finance.

Become a Project Partner

Natural Capital Partners recently merged with ClimateCare making us one of the leading sellers in the voluntary carbon market. We have market access to some of the world’s leading organisations and investors that can financially support carbon projects. We guide our selected project partners from feasibility stage to carbon credit issuance and beyond. To learn more about how to become a project partner visit the ClimateCare website.

We connect clients to what's available today and what's possible in the future

Our work enables us to launch and advance new projects, expand and enhance existing projects, and increase scale and impact to deliver the highest quality outcomes for climate and communities. These projects are underpinned by a comprehensive due diligence process that is designed around the unique benefits they provide, from carbon credits to sustainable development impacts.

Through our project development work we are using climate finance to increase the scale and impact of projects which generate solar energy for underserved communities and provide clean water to rural households. We work closely with the teams on the ground who understand the local requirements and cultures while we contribute our carbon market expertise to access finance, measure impacts, and verify results.

Catalyst projects are designed for clients who want to customise their climate action programme. Through Project Catalyst clients can support additional sustainable development outcomes at a project, including health clinics, educational programmes, access to technology, reforestation of degraded land, improved access to green space and restoration of coastal mangroves.

By expanding a project to new areas in Kenya we are able to enhance the lives of our tea farmers, empowering them to develop sustainable livelihoods so they may thrive for the long term, despite the impacts of climate change.

Project development to increase impact

  • In India, the SELCO project uses solar products to provide access to energy for underserved communities. The Light for Education programme enables children to charge lights at school, thereby encouraging them to attend, which they can then take home for studying in the evening. The solar panels at schools are also used to power in-class monitors which are combined with a programme of digital education.
  • In Guatemala, water-borne disease has been identified as a national priority. Ceramic water filters are sold to households in rural communities so they no longer need to boil water, saving time collecting wood or money purchasing fuel. Filters are also donated to schools and health centres.
  • In Africa, Solar Energy and Mobile Payment is empowering more than 750,000 homes and small businesses through a pay-as-you-go platform which combines solar power, mobile technology and micro finance. Customers can access an affordable, clean energy solution which provides lights, phone charging, fridges, radios and televisions. Carbon finance is helping drive scale at the project as it connects an increasing number of homes and small businesses.

Advancing innovation

The Voluntary Carbon Market has a long history and proven success in supporting innovation in climate action: creating new project types, providing innovative finance, and ensuring verified results. We work closely with our partners to support continuing innovation and bring new initiatives to market:

  • Verra’s Blue Carbon Working Group: We support the development of new blue carbon methodologies, exploring coastal wetland restoration and conservation activities, and developing recommendations for how standards and their supporting methodologies and tools could unlock carbon finance opportunities.
  • Plastic Waste Reduction Standard: As part of the 3R Initiative, we are contributing to a standard that will enable increased finance and transparency across plastic waste recovery and recycling initiatives and therefore increase scale and impact.
